How bio-hardening technology is helping Vitthal Ganga farmers?

For the farming community, it is imperative to select the right varieties and healthy plantlets in order to achieve quality and consistent produce. It is a well-known fact that quality plantlet production could be achieved by selecting top quality seeds and mother plants, which in turn helps farmers to get attractive price for their end produce. 

Unfortunately, it has been observed that plantlet suffer around 10-15 per cent mortality due to poor nursery management. Reason why, Vitthal Ganga has been providing its farming community with healthy plantlets through the implementation of the innovative bio-hardening technology.

Scientifically defined, bio-hardening or biopriming is a technique through which the in vitro grown plant material produces a metabolic response to a microbial inoculant, helping to strengthen the plantlets against abiotic and biotic stresses. This technology is being provided through our on-site hi-tech nursery and bio-hardening center, wherein our member farmers are able to get right varieties and healthy plantlets.
